Set up GPS Tracking on your node
The hardware, install and setup steps for GMRS GPS Node Tracking. You'll need the username and password from your registration email. Don't have them yet? Request an account.

Node
A GMRS node running HamVoIP or ASL3, such as a Raspberry Pi. You'll need to be able to SSH into it.

VFAN USB GPS receiver
The GPS receiver the tracking script is built and tested with. It plugs into a USB port on the node. View it on Amazon

Internet connection
The node needs internet access to send position reports. Wired, Wi-Fi or a cellular hotspot all work.

Map pins
Put the name of any pin below in the ICON setting of gps_sender.py. Tap a pin to copy its name, then paste it between the quotes.
Colored pins
Each style comes in blue, green and pink.
